Hope in Motion
Preparing for What’s Ahead
As many of you are aware, our safe house has been in a season of transition, currently awaiting new residents; but this hasn’t slowed us down! While we pray and seek out our next group of residents, we’ve also been hard at work revising and strengthening our residential program to ensure it provides the best possible care. At the same time, we are deeply engaged in outpatient client support, community outreach, and vital fundraising efforts that sustain and expand our mission.
Our Program Staff has been instrumental in this season of growth. They have been restructuring policies and procedures, updating curriculum, and providing intentional support to our outpatient and alumni clients—ensuring every individual receives the care and resources they need to thrive. We are especially proud of our outpatient and alumni clients, who continue to inspire us! They are finishing up spring college courses, mastering statistics, pursuing mental health services, and engaging in Growth Groups at their local churches. Some are even stepping into new relationships and dating! On top of all this, they are also mothers, friends, employees, and active community members—a testament to the fact that they are so much more than survivors. We love seeing them flourish and step into the fullness of their futures.
While we prepare to welcome new residents into our safe house, our Program Staff has been saturating the space in prayer and worship every Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM. During these sacred hours, the team listens intently, writing down the ways God speaks on the whiteboard—memorializing His voice and direction. This dedicated time has been both a renewal for our staff and a spiritual covering for the women who will soon call this house home.
Alongside our direct services, we continue to make an impact through community training and education. This month, we equipped 14 law enforcement officers at Soledad PD, trained 62 emergency room specialists at Community Hospital, and hosted our monthly trauma-informed volunteer training. These efforts are critical in expanding awareness and equipping key community members to recognize and respond to trafficking.
Thank you for standing with us in this work. Together, we are creating spaces of hope, freedom, and lasting transformation.
