Many women have fought long and hard to escape the grip of the sex industry.

Many of these same women – because of the state of the world – are now facing financial insecurity, job loss, poverty, and even homelessness. We as a community need to recognize these are the exact vulnerabilities that human traffickers prey on.

The coronavirus has not shut down the sex industry.

Women are being recruited to meet the demands of buyers. Women are being encouraged to enter and reenter porn, prostitution, and webcamming – abusers hope to capitalize off these services during this pandemic.
