Exciting Update! - We have a House!

Hello SFMB Supporters and Friends,

We have been holding back on some news but are pleased to announce that SFMB has acquired a residential property! We will be leasing a property from a generous investor close to the SFMB family! It leaves us in awe of the last four years and so hopeful to see our dream finally come to fruition.

We are in need of some things to get our house move-in ready and our program off the ground. To support our opening, we are asking for the following:

  • Volunteers and staff members!

  • Gently used furnishings such as

    • Twin-sized beds/mattresses

    • Bedding & Sheets

    • Kitchenware

    • Pots & Pans

    • Dressers

    • Couches

    • Hygiene Products

    • Home Decor

  • Lastly, we need your financial support! Opening the home is a huge step of faith, and it requires an expansion of our staff to serve the ladies in our restoration home, as well as a myriad of other expenses now that the program will be fully operational. Please consider partnering with us financially, either one-time or monthly, as we seek to serve the Lord and fight human trafficking in Monterey County, seeing lives restored, to the glory of God!

For those interested in serving our ladies in some capacity we require you to attend our trauma-informed training. The next one will be held on June 2nd, 6 PM at 2511 Garden Road Suite 200 A, Monterey, CA 93940.

You may complete the volunteer application prior to or after the training.

For those not wanting to directly work with our residents but who would still like to contribute to the house in other ways, we are in need of volunteers to help with landscaping, building classrooms, and providing handy work.

We are honored to be used by God as a stepping stone to restoration for survivors here in Monterey County. As we go deeper into this calling we ask that you pray for our mission, our future residents, our staff, and our board as we understand doing work for the kingdom of God is not without opposition. We ask that you pray for freedom and healing as we battle the powers of darkness.
